These tips will eliminate your dry skin woes! It's ok.... you don't have to worship me but I don't mind if you fall in love with me ;P
Flaky Skin & Makeup: MY BEST TIP!
I've always had issues with foundations emphasizing my dry skin that I've pretty much put off all of them. Until recently I was at my wits end dealing with my flaky dry skin so I bought a giant bottle of Glycerin from NOW brand. I've read some reviews and it seems the quality of glycerin can differ from sources. I trust NOW and it was one of the cheapest option. Straight up used on the face at nighttime didn't seem particularly helpful.
I know glycerin is used in many skincare and makeup products. So, I bought it intending to mix it with base makeup to create a moisturizing foundation hoping that would work. That didn't seem to work very well and I still looked cakey.
Finally, my HG moment came! I mixed Glycerin with a silicone primer ( Too Face Primed and Poreless) but I am sure all silicone primers will do~ This is literally photohshop in a bottle! My skin looks baby smooth with this concoction on. This also finally made foundation possible for me! I can finally make use of my drawer of foundation that was collecting dust before. All my flaky skin is well concealed and this keeps my face moist ALL DAY LONG! My skin still feels supple after my I wash off everything. It's like having a hydrating mask on all day. I also only need 1/3 of the foundation that I used to use to achieve flawless coverage. It's truly a miracle! o\ ^_^ /o
This method really saved my skin! I used to use pure oils and butters every night because normal creams weren't moisturizing enough for me. Now I can use many different creams and my face is in great condition. No more flakies and cakey face anymore.
Best Eureka Idea EVER!!
Toners: using it the right way!
Pat toner on your face before putting on your facial cream! Pour a tsp of your favorite toner in your palm and dab it over your face. My HG is Thayer's Witch Hazel Toner. Pat it in to help it absorb. No alcohol based toners though! I despise any beauty products with alcohol. Sadly, many beauty products have alcohol in them but it irritates my skin and makes it red. Please read carefully and make sure your beauty products are not alcohol based!
What goes inside matters too!
Of course, hydrating from the inside is just as important. Drink lots of water! Yes... this sounds lame but this is truly the best "hydrating mask" you can get!
Eating healthy oils is another must because it will nourish your skin and give you a glow! Avocado, flax seeds, chia seeds are part of my everyday diet. They are so packed with nutrients that are useful for many parts of your body. Incorporate them into your meals because they are tasty foods anyway!
Hope this helped make a change in your skin!
